In November Audrey will make her way to Hull and take part in ‘This Way Up’, the UK Film Conference being staged as part of Hull City of Culture 2017. We will be positioned next to the Hull Truck Theatre and Albemarle Music Centre.

This Way Up is the UK film exhibition innovation conference that promises to inspire and enlighten, provoke and challenge, connect and share.
With audience behaviour changing at an accelerating rate it’s more crucial than ever that film exhibitors come together to discuss the pressing issues, to hear about new models, new thinking and new opportunities and to meet each other to share our experiences. This Way Up offers a unique space where these questions can be addressed and (perhaps) answers will be found.
The event is organised and delivered by three hubs within the BFI’s Film Audience Network; Film Hub North, Film Hub Central and West and Film Hub Scotland. This year, the conference is joined by Audrey, the lovingly restored 1960s Vintage Mobile Cinema, who will be screening a selection of shorts across both days of the conference, free for anybody to attend.
The programme includes; documentary shorts from the British Council/Scottish Documentary Institute Stories programme, which, since 2011, has trained filmmakers from countries as different as Jordan, Libya, Pakistan and Syria, in the art of creative documentary; First Acts: bold, daring expressions of creativity, delivered in short film form by young artist filmmakers. Commissioned  by the Random Acts Network for Arts Council England and Channel 4; New Animated Shorts from the UK, curated by Abigail Addison; One Minute: artists’ films, curated by Hull based artist Kerry Baldry; Flare Films: from a British Council international touring programme in partnership with BFI Flare.
