Audrey will be joining in this most wonderful event. Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the children’s classic adventure book, We Didn’t Mean to Go To Sea which is set in the idyllic Suffolk riverside hamlet of Pin Mill and the waters of the River Orwell. There will be a traditional 1930s style fair on the Common, with swingboats and sideshows, arts and crafts, cream teas and barbecue, a literary lounge in the Sailing Club, sailing taster sessions for young people and a chance to see Arthur Ransome’s own wooden boats.
