Exmouth Festival and Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

On June 3rd and 4th, we will be joining the good folks of Exmouth for the annual Festival, which coincides this year with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Join us at Manor Gardens on Sunday 3rd, where there will be a whole host of family friendly activities going on, including a giant picnic, a sand sculpture competition on the beach, lots of performers on stage, a children’s tent and more.

On Monday 4th, we will move to the Strand for the Diamond Jubilee Extravaganza from 11am – 6pm, where there will be plenty more celebrations going on, including a colourful tea party embellished with cakes, fizzy pop and treats, beautiful craft stalls, traditional games, a bandstand hosting traditional jazz, comedy and tea dances throughout the day, street performers, Punch & Judy donkey rides, face painting, circus skills, and ferret racing – all followed by a big screening of the BBC’s Jubilee Concert and the Lighting of the Beacon at Orcombe Point from 10pm.

And best of all, it’s all FREE – so come on down, enjoy the fun and relax for a short film on board the mobile cinema. We will be screening contemporary shorts from local film-makers as well as the East Devon AONB’s ‘Back to the Future’ – a wonderfully compiled short archive film of the local area.

If you have a film that you would like to get shown please contact Carla at artsmanager@exmouth.gov.uk, and for the full Festival programme from 31st May through until 8th June see the Exmouth Festival website.

See you there!
