The 2nd annual Belford Arts Festival (26 July – 1 August) is delighted to pay host to the Vintage Cinema Bus when it visits North Northumberland in July.
Belford is a large village a couple of miles from the picturesque North East coast, close to Holy Island and the iconic beach and castle at Bamburgh. It’s a busy, working place, with a thriving community group who organise an annual arts festival.
2017’s event featured exhibitions from Northumberland artists, music gigs in the local pubs, a choral concert in St Mary’s Church, craft and kids workshops, poetry nights, archive films from the BFI’s collection in the church hall, and theatre from the popular am dram group, The Belford Players. The festival drew locals from The Borders, as well as attracting holidaymakers and visitors from further afield.
